I've been doing some mosaic work lately so I thought I'd share it here.
To the left is a bear I completed recently. It was made out of left-over bits and pieces.
The work to the right is a work in progress. It still needs to be attached to the background and grouted. it's to sit in front my my useless fireplace so that I still have a roaring fire :-)
Below is the mockup in front of the useless fireplace.
The piece on the left was a gift for a talented physiotherapist with healing hands (thanks Sara!)
This was part of a group project for an outdoor garden mosaic. I did the pink flowers on teh left and the daisies on the bottom.
This is an adjustable face designed to sit on an olive tree. It's not finished or installed yet but you can get an idea of how it might work. The nose is stationary but the eyes, eyebrows and mouth pivot. I realize I didn't pivot the eyebrows in these images but they will so that introduces the expressions of anger, suprise etc. This is also a work that was fully made out of left-over bits and pieces.
This is another group project for a garden mosaic. This one is pre-installation so it's still on the wire mesh. I did most of the flowers and background to the right of the snake, the snake and caterpillar - can you see them? Our instructor did the amazing bee!
This was another group mosaic - to the right you can see the parts that I did.
